Mail a large number of people via Gmail

Someone I know is trying to send emails to a large group of people (on the order of 750 people). I am trying to help them.

The person used to do this simply via gmail, but has been hit by the recent sending limits of 500/day(https://support.google.com/mail/answer/22839?hl=en).

The mail she sends is a note of a personal nature to a large number of people she knows. She sends it once a month. Its not large enough to warrant registering as an NGO or charity.

The options seem to be something like GMass, or some other mailing service but these are all paid for, and don't make sense for a once a month group.

The other option seems to be a Google group. However I have a couple of questions about the limits (already posted here but doesn't seem to answer questions - What are some limits of Google groups?):

  1. Is a Google group the best option?
  2. Does anyone know the limits to the number of people in a google group - all of the help and support on limits seems to point to G-Suite (which limits to 100 people) (https://support.google.com/a/answer/6099642)?
  3. I see that there are limits about adding people to a Google group - 10/day - but you can also send invites for people to join. Does this joining also have the 10/day limit (I can't find more information here: https://support.google.com/groups#topic=9216)?
  4. To invite people to join you have to paste their addresses in an invite. Does anyone know if this has the 500/day limit (or is it a 10/day limit)?

The person I am trying to help is not very technically savvy (and I am doing this remotely), so I am looking for a simple solution. Increasingly I am thinking of breaking the group into two 400 person lists and sending them a day apart.

Any thoughts would be welcome.
