What could have caused this? It sounds bad!
Did I miss something obvious, when I added the recovery email?
This warning sign appears if I click on the Email box, in the Personal info section of Google Account.
There is also a warning sign if I open the Security section of Google Account, and scroll down until I find "Recovery email".
Other places did not show a warning sign:
- Personal info in Google Account. (Until I clicked on the Email box).
- Google Account (home page).
- Security Checkup (reached from the top of Security in Google Account).
- Avoid getting locked out of your Google Account (personalized help page).
- When I sign in, and Google asks if I could please give my postal address etc.
All of these places used to yell at me, until I added the recovery email address. But none of them warned me that it hasn't been verified.
