On a Windows 11 PC running Microsoft Word, I've created a template that has content controls enabled. This means that some parts of the document can be changed (inside of rich text fields) and some parts of the document cannot, to protect the legal boilerplate of the template from being changed by other users.
Many of the users who will need to access this document are using SharePoint and will be accessing the document through Microsoft online.
However, when I upload the template with content controls into the Sharepoint site, none of the content in the document is editable anymore. I cannot edit any parts of the document.
First, are others able to confirm that this problem indeeds occurs in general, and is not some specific user error I'm doing?
Second, are there workarounds for enabling content controls to work in Sharepoint and Microsoft Online?
