URL Image Filtering: URL Suffixes and Wikimedia

Wikimedia image suffixes used in url strings with "File:" resolve to neither TLDs/public suffixes, nor hard links to image formats, but to html pages. In other words, WikiMedia images are stored in an image description page such as this one based on image tables.
In constructing a url parser that filters out everything from the url string except binary file targets in raw image format, we must consider embedded strings such as "File:" and "Image:", is there a case to consider other filters, and what are they likely to be?
