Does Chrome start closing old inactive tabs before notifying you of such feature? [closed]

I received today a message on a little window on Chrome for Android, when I opened Chrome this morning, saying that it would automatically close my inactive tabs after 3 months, and it offered two buttons: 'Done'; 'go to Settings'. I went to settings and disabled this 'feature', which was ON. My question is: has Chrome already possibly deleted old inactive tabs, or because it asked me then it means that it was just about to do it for the first time and I stopped it before it went ahead? The second option seems the most likely (unless Chrome periodically reminds you of this 'feature', but I don't think it's the case; plus if it reminds you of such feature then a fortiori it should warn you the first time that this feature does its job...)
