Chrome >= 131 no longer shows password bubble/pop-up but only a key icon on the address bar? [migrated]

Is it true that Chrome version 131 and above (I have tested 131 & 137) no longer shows the annoying password bubble/pop-up that make an offer to save my credentials on a new site? If it matters, I run Chrome on GNU/Linux Ubuntu 24.04 by first installing its DEB package that I obtained from the Google official site.

How to get back the annoying password bubble/pop-up?

The reason for wanting back the annoying password bubble/pop-up is that it will not let me forget to save my credentials and I just need to click once. Furthermore, the annoying bubble/pop-up is a very quick indicator to see whether auto-complete is allowed for a new site.

The behavior that I see with Chrome version 131 & 137 is that it only shows a tiny key icon on the address bar (or if the key icon has been added to the toolbar, the key icon is only highlighted) when it is possible to save my credentials on a new site. Then, I still have to click on the key icon before being able to save my credentials by clicking on another button. Beside needing to click twice now, it is very easy to miss the opportunity to save my credentials due to the very discreet announcement of the possibility to do so through such a tiny icon.

Therefore, is there a way to get back the old annoying password bubble/pop-up?

Thank you.

PS: I asked the question originally on https://superuser.com/q/1905542/608579, and then I received suggestion that this is the more appropriate place for the question.
