My settings seem to say I agreed to Microsoft selling my email address.
I think I would have remembered that. Do I understand this option correctly?
I would like to hear from Microsoft Partners, or Microsoft on their behalf, about their products, services, and events. Share or use my details with Microsoft Partners.
This option is shown in the "Communication preferences" page for my email address. I found it through "My Microsoft account" > "Your info".
(On small screens, tap the dots next to your email address to find "Communication preferences".)
I created my account in the UK. We have laws about this. We forced companies to send out emails, begging people to opt-in to continued marketing emails.
"Your info" confirms my "Country or region" is set to "United Kingdom".
