After receiving an email from Instagram informing me that my account email had changed, I tried logging in (from my PC) but the email I have always used is not recognized.
I tried the same through the app on my smartphone and there just the password is not recognized.At this point I followed Instagram's directions for “hacked account,” and tried to recover the password.
The options provided (SMS, email, Whatsapp) worked but I am asked to provide the code generated by an authentication app that I never set up.
I could not find any form to notify Instagram of what happened to me.How do I go about getting my account back?
From the emails I received, I can provide the dates of creation and username change.
