When creating a reel on Instagram, you select your video and then choose music from the library they provide, usually it's just a short 'trending' clip of a longer song.
However, quite often you want the video (or series of clips) to change to the music. Therefore some do it in an external video editor.
However, if I include the audio within my video editor, then upload this to Instagram, instead of 'selecting' their music (even if it's the same audio clip), will they think I have uploaded copyrighted music?
I'm confused how people are editing their videos, to match the audio found in Instagram. One idea I have is you get the audio, make all your edits, don't include audio in the exported video and select the audio when uploading to Instagram, it 'should' match up if you have already created the video based on that audio, I think.
Can anyone shed some light on how it's best handled? Some step by steps would be appreciated.
