I just created a Facebook account. I never had one before.
Immediately upon creating the account I got a popup saying that I have 180 days to appeal the decision to block my account, or it will be locked permanently.
Clicking around some more, I understand that my account was blocked immediately upon creation for "violation of integrity principles". I certainly couldn't violate any principles, because I didn't have time to do anything. Not even to see my profile page, let alone make a post.
Now, whenever I try to log into my account, I am presented with a request to upload an identification selfie. I do not intend to do that. I certainly wasn't going to upload any selfies.
Still, my email address and my phone number are being held hostages by Facebook, and I would like to release them, either by unblocking my account, or deleting it permanently. I don't seem to have an option to do that. Clicking anything on Facebook brings me to the request to upload the selfie. In particular, I cannot navigate to http://www.facebook.com/help/delete_account, that brings back the selfie request again.
