Two-way sync? Updates to linked Sheets range update values in linked Docs table, but can changes to Docs table also update Sheets range?

I have a Google Sheets spreadsheet with cells linked to a Google Docs document. If I update the spreadsheet's linked cells, they update in the Google Doc as well. Is there any way to have it work in the other direction as well, so changes made to the Google Doc's values update the linked cells in the spreadsheet? I want to be able to make updates in either Sheets or Docs and have them stay synchronized.
