On my laptop, when I visit youtube.com, clear the site cookies, refresh the page, and then click the [more options] button, it shows two options:
- "YouTube History" (on / off)
- "Ad personalization on YouTube" (on / off)
On my new mobile phone, youtube.com redirects to m.youtube.com, and only shows one option: "YouTube History" (on / off).
In both cases, I see the same text below.
"If you turn your personalisation settings on, Google will use cookiesto show you personalised content and personalised ads, depending onyour choices."
Can I turn off "Ad personalization" on m.youtube.com on my mobile, without turning off "YouTube History"?
I tested using Firefox for Desktop on my laptop, and Firefox for Android on my mobile. In my tests, I disabled any extensions which blocked ads, cookies/trackers, and cookie warnings.
I was not logged in to a Google Account, in either browser. (On Desktop, I use a separate Firefox Container to access my Google Account).
