Recently I have discovered something called Google Takeout, which allows you to back up all content found in Google servers and download it for your own convenience.
However, I have a question.
Supposed I have a zipped archive in Google Drive. As we know, zip compresses, and compressed files are smaller and therefore take up less space.
However, if I were to zip a file twice, it could get extremely large.
In particular, if a zip file is part of an archive, then zipping the archive produces an extremely large file.
Is there a way to prevent this in Google Takeout?
How does Google Takeout deal with this?
To circumvent this problem, is it possible for Google Takeout to just create a tarball (without compressing it)?
Thanks.
