having a hard time find info on this specific situation. To be clear, when I say I have two spreadsheets, I mean two separate spreadsheet files, each with it's own unique set of sheets (tabs). From spreadsheet A (through a menu selection script), I need to duplicate one of the existing sheets in spreadsheet B to a new sheet (also in spreadsheet B). Then I need to rename it. All of this needs to happen from spreadsheet A's script. I'm having issues accomplishing this getting errors like "Exception: Specified sheet must be part of the spreadsheet." Does anyone know if there's a way to do this?
Some add'l info on what I'm trying to accomplish: The sheet being duplicated is basically a template sheet for a group of projects. However, the name of the project is determined from spreadsheet A. The menu script's purpose is to open up the project spreadsheet (B) for the user (preferably in a new browser tab) and go to the appropriate sheet for the project - if it doesn't exist it needs to create it by duplicating the template sheet and renaming it to the correct project name.
