I've NEVER been a member of Instagram, but I need an account for following certain people in niche industries that I work with.
So ( using Windows 10 ) I go to the sign up page and enter my details:
myemail+networking@gmail.com
My Name
username
password
All form boxes show a grey tick next to them, so I click Next
, which on processing shows a message like:
We're having trouble setting up your account! Please try again later.
I try again and get the same message, so turn off my machine for 30 minutes or so.
I go back on and try to sign up again, but get red crosses next to my email address and username.
Wondering if the original sign up worked, I enter my email / password
on the login page and see:
The username you entered doesn't belong to an account. Please check your username and try again.
So I try again with username / password
and see:
Your account has been disabled for violating our terms: http://instagram.com/about/legal/terms/
Does anyone know what the problem is?
I haven't been sent a confirmation email so I don't think I've set up an account - So why isn't my email now acceptable, and why is the username ( which was originally okay ) now in violation?
If this is in violation for some unknown reason - How do I appeal it?
