I recently discovered a podcast that seems to have been abandoned two years ago. The episodes are still available for listening, but there are no new episodes, and when I visit the site, I have to accept an expired certificate.
I would very much like to listen to the available episodes, and since I do my listening on the go, I want to download them. I ran into trouble though - I cannot find an app capable of downloading them. The Google Podcasts Downloader for example gives a "network error". This is despite being able to listen to the actual episodes from the Google Podcasts webapp.
When I copy the mp3 address out of the page source, I can open the mp3 itself, but the browser shows the "https" prefix in crossed-out red. I suspect this is due to the expired certificate, and this is probably what prevents apps from downloading.
Can I nevertheless download the episodes, either with Google Podcast Downloader or with an alternative app which can deal with expired certificates? Ideally in bulk, but in the worst case individually.
