I've been on the g-suite legacy app for more than a decade, possibly 2 decades - and now it is going away. I also have had my domain mapped to g-suite for the same amount of time. For many different reasons I am finally opting out of google apps and am looking at Office 365 Family. The main challenge I see is domain hosting!
I do not need Office Business/Enterprise, nor do I want the expense just to add my domain. Is there any way to keep using my domain on Office 365 Family and what are the steps to migrate 6 of us over?
NOTE: After much digging I have found the following information:
- How to add a domain
- Compare all Office 365 Products - Family supports up to 6 people
- Is there a way around being required to use GoDaddy as the registrar when using a custom domain with Microsoft 365 Family?
Would love to find a step-by-step guide on how I can migrate the 6 of us and retain the following:
- Email (gmail -> outlook)
- Documents (gdrive -> one drive)
- Photos (google photos -> one drive)
- Calendars (multiple google calendars -> outlook)
I am hoping there is a way I can do this without having to involve the other 5 members of the family. I would like to have all the migrations completed, then have them sign into Office 365 with their domain accounts.
