Google Play Books renders PDF at low resolution and unselectable text

I have a PDF file (A book) which when viewed offline using Acrobat Reader is a proper PDF book (with real selectable text instead of it being images).

But when i upload it to Google Play Books and view the book in browser, it seems to be rendered as images, with texts become unselectable. Also the quality of rendering is quite bad, it's small and starts to become blurry with just a bit of zoom.

Uploading the same file to Apple Books and read it on my Mac using the Books app doesn't have that problem, text is very crisp and can be zoom to any level. Also texts are selectable there.

So the question is how does Google Play Books process PDF files being uploaded to it, and how to prevent that behaviour? Having it that way make the book unreadable for me. And i can't use Apple Books at my work laptop since it's a Windows one.
