I currently have two Gmail addresses. The secondary is added to the primary via the Account and Imports section so I can manage the secondary email address through the primary email address.
When sending mail as the secondary email address (while logged into the primary address), the receiver is seeing a "x on behalf of y" in the from field. How do I remove the "on behalf of" part so it just shows the address that sent the mail, and not that I was using a different account?
Here is the section for: Account and Import -> Send mail as -> edit info

How do I get rid of "On Behalf Of" from my sent Gmail messages?
As can be seen from the above screenshot, there is no "next step" option. Therefore, you cannot specify a SMTP server.
The email address that you enter in the "email address" field on the first popup page is the email your going to be sending mail from. Because of this, the answers in the question below do not work and are from 10 years ago.
