My emails were hacked a few weeks ago, and in a panic I changed all my passwords. I think I must have made a typo when doing Facebook, since now I can't log in.
I still have access via my iPhone's facial recognition, but when I try to log in via any other device I can't.
I can't change the password again because you have to input the current password first.
My recovery email appears to be an old work email that I no longer have access to.
I DO have a mobile number stored in Facebook, but I don't ever get an option to reset this way..... only to send the email to the old work email address.
I also have 2FA set up and so have recovery codes but this still requires the input of the correct password first.
Can anyone help with this mad situation, please?
I have used FB as photo storage since 2007 and REALLY don't want to lose all my daughter's baby photos etc. I can't even use FB's download facility since this too requires password input.
Any advice gratefully received.
