I use Firefox but I observe that it doesn't tell server side code when I set the dark mode theme in the browser.
In fact, setting the dark mode in about:config does NOT even cause dark mode in the browser's UI elements, let alone web pages.
It is bizarre that I have to enable dark mode on each website individually. This seems like a huge oversight. Looking at a big white background isn't good for the eyes after all.
Does any browser in 2020 send server side code a hint in the headers that tell the server side code that the user wants dark mode in all web pages that will support it?
Could it be that client-side people insist this is a server-side issue and server-side people insist it is a client side issue? And as a result, no one is being responsible?
