In Google Sheets, can you set the color of scatter plot points based on their x-value?

I have a fellow teacher who is attempting to create a scatter plot of stars like this in Google Sheets:

The color of the star in the chart should be dependent on its temperature (i.e. its placement on the horizontal axis). Is there a way to hack this effect in Sheets?
