Seeking to have Gmail be default for all apps on computer when that account is not primary for Chrome

I login to Chrome with one gmail account (let's say Gmail1) so that I can sync my bookmarks etc. across devices. I use another gmail account as my primary email (let's say Gmail2). I used to use Outlook, but now I am going to use gmail in my browser instead. I would like Gmail2 to be the default email on my computer (including for non-browser apps). I tried to make Gmail2 my default gmail account following the instructions I found here and elsewhere, but then I have to log out of Gmail1 in Chrome so I lose the sync function. Does anyone have advice how I can achieve what I want--staying logged in as Gmail 1 in Chrome, but have Gmail2 be my computer default for printing from all apps? Thanks.
