The image next to the password , the 'eye' and its function with and without a slash ' / ' covering it

You guyz have introduced the eye image next to the password. From what i understand, if there is a slash '/' on the eye this means you cannot see the password when typing, but if the '/' is not there, it means you can view what you are typing as your password. However, this function is set to work in reverse on the gmail sign in page. What i mean is, if i click on the eye image to cover it with a slash, it allows me to read what i am writing as a password and if the eye image in not covered with a '/', it does not let me read the password and displays '....' i think you guyz need to swap these two images as their purposes have been swapped too.Thank you.
