About 2 weeks ago I tried to register for an INSTAGRAM account - The first I've ever done - but hit a problem straight away.
On my PC, I filled in the E-Mail + Username + Password fields and got a green tick next to all boxes. I pressed Sign Up and was redirected to a page saying Something Went Wrong - Please try again later.
So a bit later I tried again, but this time saw a red cross next to my email and username.
Wondering if it had signed me up without notifying me I tried to log in, but on doing so, got a red message telling me that my account was in violation of the terms.
I found out that you could appeal using the App, so I downloaded it on Galaxy Tab3 and tried to log in. This time I saw the violation message with an Appeal button below. On pressing this I was again redirected to a page saying Something Went Wrong - Please try again later.
What's the deal with this, and how do you actually get unlocked?
I would like to open up another account for my blog, but I don't want to risk getting that username blocked out too. Can anyone help?

Side question: Can you register multiple accounts using the + in Gmail:
